Description:

Known from ancient times and widespread in the south, thyme is an essential herb in the traditional southern European cuisine.

Culinary Tip:

Thyme is essential to flavor soups, sauces, marinades and salads and add flavor to grilled food. Thyme leaves when dried are very well preserved and live for a long time in a jar.

Culture Tip:

1. Sowing: Sow March to July in pots or planters in a sunny location.
2. Transplanting: In the fall, replant the strongest seedlings.
3. Harvest: Harvest all year round by trimming the new stems. You can grow thyme directly into your garden by planting a plant every 30 cm.

Companion Plants:

Thyme likes the proximity of all the vegetable because it accentuates their flavor.
