Description:

An easy to grow lettuce variety,  resistance to cold and heat,  giving heads with thin and crunchy leaves . 
Culinary Tip:

Batavia is eaten in salads and also braised or stewed. 

Culture Tip:

1. Sowing: Sow July to August in rows 30 cm apart. 
2. Thinning: At 3-4 leaf stage, pull out the smaller seedlings and keep only the strongest ones. Spac2 30 cm apart. 
3. Harvest: To avoid bolting and extend harvest period, water your lettuce regularly. Lettuce prefers a sunny exposure. Harvest end of Oct to Dec. 

Companion Plants:

When Lettuce is sawn in the proximity of radishes, they are less likely to bolt early.
